Research and project about Berber alphabet, an ancient language spread all over the North Africa, west of the Nile river, before the arabization of the continent. After an analysis of the geometry of every glyph, I tried to compare the alphabet with a very well known geometric typeface, the Futura by Paul Renner, extended with its alternative glyphs. Than, I was interested in building a stencil form the alphabet, as it's one of the cheapest matrix for apply typography and it could be useful for signage and orientation systems. Although the different outputs, the only aim of the project is applaying typography to preserve the culture of the native Northern Africa's languages.
